Fabric Passion Forum Share Your Project - Glori *PIC* Posted By: Dana Lacy Chapman Greetings!
As you know, we are committed here at eQuilter to give back to our world community and help those in need. We do this with regular donations to various organizations, efforts in times of great challenges, and our charity program where customers choose which of seven charities receive a donation of 2% of sales from each order.
One of our customers has been moved by this commitment and taken it on for herself. Glori says, “Dear Luana, you have inspired me to start donating quilts. Where I live in Kingman, AZ, there is a new homeless shelter for women and children. The whole thing has been arranged by philanthropists and several churches of all denominations.
“… I have literally thousands of fabrics from eQuilter. I have decided to do several Rail Fence designs. I am separating the pastels from the autumn colors (for) simple squares aligned in beautiful color schemes. …I’m using my new ruler to cut my own 2 1/2” strips to make quilts in horizontal strips and vertical strips...
“Anyway, you have inspired me to do this, and with me being in severe pain and on SSI, I desperately need to be thinking about something else!! I loved your pictures of Australia!! I hope to go there some day. Anyway, thank you for all your inspiration with charity and quilting. I have found that they go hand in hand."
Glori Blanchard.
Thank you, Glori, for sharing your quilt, your story, and the inspiration you have gathered from Luana’s Newsletters,Midweek Creative Nudge, and charitable donations. She is pleased to know you are dedicated to this project for the homeless shelter. The quilt is warm and cheering... sure to be a hit. You are an inspiration, too!
Stitching Smiles!
