Fabric Passion Forum Share Your Project - Lynne *LINK* *PIC* Posted By: Dana Lacy Chapman Greetings!
It is always interesting to see designs that bring a quilt together. Though quilting for many years, Lynne has sent images of her first small wall hanging quilt, and I wanted to share it with you.
She wrote, “I started sewing as a child when my mother taught me to make clothing for my dolls; then won a state Vogue sewing contest in high school.
Upon graduation (I received) a scholarship at FIT in New York but foolishly choose not to accept it and instead entered college and embarked upon another career.
“(I kept sewing) all my life, though. Then upon retirement, I taught myself to quilt; and after many, many quilts, just last year I made my first, the smaller, wall hanging and, very recently, a larger one. I've also made, last year, 40 quilt purses from my quilt fabric stash, which I've designed so that each is one of a kind. I purchased most of my fabric from you, Equilter.com, the best!”

Thank you, Lynne for sharing your story and the terrific wall quilt! I like the detailed quilting you did, and how it brings such motion to the tigers! I find the piecing very interesting! Your colors help set off the tigers so effectively!
Stitching Smiles!
