In Northern Oregon, Mt Hood dominates the skyline. Roads heading east offer viewpoints with lovely vistas of the mountain often framed by tree covered ridges that rise steeply from river valleys that flow from the mountain. This quilt is designed for hand appliqué and raw edge machine appliqué; however it may be constructed using any appliqué methods. Fabric requirements: 1 yd for the sky; 1/2 yd for the mountain; fat quarter for the snow; 1/2 yd of 2 fabric for the tree ridges; fat quarter for the bushes; 1/4 yd each of 5 fabrics for the water strips; 5' x 18" for the tree trunk; 5 or more different fabrics 10" x 20" each for the rocks; 6" x 44" for the narrow inner border; 20" x 44" for the outer border; 42" x 48" of batting and backing; 170" of continuous binding.
