This quilt pattern was designed in the style of Hawaiian quilts, but the inspiration was the instruments which make up a typical bluegrass band - dreadnought guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo - complete with guitar picks in the center. Whether you are a musician or music lover, with this pattern you can quilt a song. Choose two contrasting fabrics for your quilt top, and a coordinating print for the backing. Pattern recommends using 100% polyester bonded batting to show off the echo quilting rows. Fabric requirements include: 1 1/4 yard appliqué fabric; 1 1/4 yard background fabric; 1/2 yard binding fabric; 1 1/4 yard backing fabric; 44" square batting.
