This whimsical Witch is busy stirring a cauldron of special brew. Locks of gray hair flow about her head and bats fly in the moon lit sky. There is a spider dancing on a web in one corner and a pumpkin, leaves and berried vines in the other corners. Done in the raw edge fusible appliqué technique, it is quick to assemble. Her face and hands are easy to do by tracing the drawing included and following our simple directions. Lots of great quilting hints are included, plus a great close-up photo for reference. Fabric requirements include: 2/3 yd for background; 7/8 yd for border clothing; 3/8 yd for moon; 1/4 yd for face and hands; 1/4 yd of each 5 fabrics for hair; 1/4 yd of brown for stick and vine stems; 1/4 yd of Dk black for hat, cape lining, bats and spider; 1/2 yd of Lt black for cape and hat; 1/2 yd of Lt green for border and brew; scraps for finger nails, berries, sleeves, pumpkin hat band and leaves; 1/3 yd for binding; 1 yd for backing; 44" x 36" of thin batting; 5-6 yds of Steam a seam II; white and black acrylic paint; black and brown pigma .01 markers; blush-on makeup for face color; prismacolor colored pencils; teflon pressing sheet for appliqué; magic tape; and a variety of matching sewing and quilting threads.
