The cute face can be traced and finished with fine line markers and colored pencils or done by hand embroidery. Instructions are included for stitching the edges of the appliqué and quilting at the same time. Fabric requirements include: 1 yd outside border; 2/3 yd background and blossoms; 1/4 yd for baby's face; 1/4 yd leaves; 1/4 yd for cradle; 1 FQ for bows, ribbons, and baby's quilt; 1 FQ for blossoms, layette and baby's quilt; 1/2 yd for blossom centers, hat brim, scalloped edge, and baby's quilt; scraps for bluebirds; 1/3 yd for binding.
